Dominique Shelton
Founder & Executive Director
Dominique Shelton's journey in the care and support profession began where meaningful change often begins — on the front lines. She started her career as a Direct Support Staff, working closely with individuals with developmental disabilities and learning firsthand the importance of patience, compassion, dignity, consistency, and genuine human connection.
Through dedication, experience, and a commitment to excellence, she rose through the ranks to become a Group Home Manager — taking on greater responsibility for the individuals entrusted to her care and the teams providing their support.
For 15 years and counting, Dominique has remained committed to serving individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as providing homemaker and companion services. Her experience has given her a unique perspective: she understands the work from the perspective of the Direct Support Professional, the responsibility of the manager, and most importantly, the importance of seeing the person beyond the service.
Beyond Better Than Me Multicare Services LLC was created from that experience and that vision. Dominique believes that support should be about more than completing tasks or meeting basic needs — it should be about helping individuals discover their abilities, develop confidence, experience their communities, build meaningful relationships, and pursue greater independence.
